He wanted an engagement pendant – a piece of jewellery that would represent them both. As we spoke, concepts such as alchemy, fire and air came up. These are elements that, like an alchemist, I work with every day in my workshop. They complement and ‘nourish’ one another, just like air and fire.

After considering various designs, the aesthetic of their piece was finalised: fire and air fused into a single alchemical symbol. A triangular gold pendant. A tsavorite nestled within the precious metal at its top vertex.

They are embodied in a piece of jewellery that celebrates their engagement.
